I know her so well !

I have been neglecting someone very badly,
I have been avoiding discussion, sharing or
even answering any question anything from her.

I do not understand why I am so withdrew from her.
Why I treated her like an enemy and
not cherished her in my hands.

Life is so fragile! Life is so tender !
In life, time is essence.

There is no turning back.
There is borrowing of time from the future.

How blessed are those who know this before its too late !
In the course of pursuing life, I have engaged in the rat race.
Its not what I want but it turn out like that!

But, in the course of running,
I have forgotten what I am actually running after.
Suddenly, I realise that the cheese has been moved.
I am not sure if I could make noise about it.
Or if I am to keep quiet to myself.

The person that I have been running away from
is crying, hurting and falling ill.
She is desperate, lost and sad !

Is there still hope to amend this relationship,
I wonder?
Will we be given a chance ?

Time for reflection .....
Time for rebuild .....
Time for receovery .....

She can only be at home when this is repaired!
Cherish Health, Treasure Life.
It is all that you have got !

This poem was inspired by the song "I Know him so well " by Elaine Page & Barbara Dickson

Nothing is so good it lasts eternally,
Perfect situations must go wrong,
But this has never yet prevented me,
Wanting far too much,For far too long,
Looking back,I could have played it differently,
Won a few more moments,Who can tell,
But it took time to understand the man,
Now at least I know I know him well

Wasn't it good?(Oh so good)
Wasn't he fine?(Oh so fine)
Isn't it madness,
He can't be mine?
But in the end
He needs a little bit More than me,
More security,
He needs his fantasy and freedom,
I know him so well

No-one in your life is with you constantly,
No-one is completely on your side,
And though I'd move my world to be with him,
Still the gap between us is too wide,
Looking back,(Looking back)I could have played it differently,
(I could have played it some other way),
Learned about the man,Before I fell(I was just a little girl)
But I was ever so much younger then,(Maybe, so much younger then)
Now at least I know I know him well

Wasn't it good?(Oh so good)
Wasn't he fine?(Oh so fine)
Isn't it madness,
He won't be mine?
Didn't I know?
How it would go,If I knew from the start,
Why am I falling apart?
Wasn't it goodWasn't he fine?
Isn't it madness,He won't be mine?
But in the end, He needs a little bit
More than me,More security,
He needs his fantasy and freedom,
I know him so well,

It took time to understand him,
I know him so well
