Worship Song for the seasons in life
At certain seasons of my life, at certain weeks, there would be this one song that kept popped up in my mind, causing me to hum along audibly or inwardly. I have learnt to just to let it soak deep into my soul, and enveloping my heart. The following song enveloped me the weeks before the birth of my second son, Wallace Heng, it is a strange song to have going into the birth theatre. But, I did not question much then, I just let it be. But years later, the Lord reminds me times again this was his birthing song, I just no idea why.
My understanding is that every birth is spiritual and holy unto the Lord. That the Lord is present at every birth journey. Or perhaps, this child has been set apart for the Lord! But then again, so are the rest of us.
After 26 years, I finally searched the original meaning of this song. Here is the story how this was written, its about the dedication Sunday of a new church. It was written by a pastor's kid, 18 years old, Geron Davis, how God gave him the lyric within 15 minutes as he sat at the piano in the new church hours before the first service.
We are standing on Holy Ground
